Does Mexico need an Obama?

Maybe with the title, dear reader, are thinking they come to do a eulogy for Obama. No. What I want is to highlight the need for charismatic figures in Mexico, "role models". And not just in politics but in general. Mexico is faced with the same examples in politics, in sport, in the arts with which is not identified or identifies a downside. Leaders pessimistic, without hope, nagging, other rant, warning bad times, future dark and gray day. Figures not inspire us to nothing more than sadness, sorrow, disappointment, pessimism, anger. What leader in Mexico has been able to inspire his audience in recent years? What shape the field of social policy or talked about the possibilities, of opportunities, the need to take this in our hands to face the future? I remember none.
And wonder why my title if Mexico needs an Obama. Remember his campaign in 2008? Their speeches, their words of hope, change and renewal, on a new beginning. With two simple words "Hope and Yes, We Can" managed to lift the gloom and renew hope for many. Where is the Obama that Mexico needs? In those days America was mired in one of his worst moments in history with the war presidency of GW Bush, and received fresh air to the campaign of a young Democrat from Illinois who was not afraid to say yes is can and also it can be otherwise. These words, which catapulted him to the White House and later earned him a "yes, very premature, Nobel Peace Prize, are so from my perspective is badly needed in our country today, full of death, bullets and soldiers.

I do not see anybody when they come and speak to us, inspire us. We say that these 22mil people and these 4 years of war have indeed been bad, but the future is promising. There is another way of doing things. Unfortunate that we are not the world. You have to put hope in our children and youth. Instead, they make alliances with the teachers union thereby harming education, the Education Department of Health and decide they do not "braid" for our children to stop being obese. Political obstacles are placed to support our children in all areas, what should not be an issue on which all parties and all ideologies should agree? Are they politicized the interests of children and youth? Apparently so as not put a single education reform plan on the table. The President only speaks of wars, deaths, and how mistakes should not be criticized, how Mexicans, all we must put the interests of "the Nation" to our own and shut up.
We have a Government which governs the principle of crime and not the innocent. They kill our children and young people and say we were criminals, that is "deserved." Budgets are reduced in science and technology, as well as schools and universities, and instead increase to buy more guns and more tanks and planes super luxury. The defense secretary says that children and young people killed by the army are collateral damage and the Chairman dare say that 95% of the dead are not important and not so serious the issue, because "only" 5% were civilians. As if Mexicans first and second, as if the Mexicans were willing to sacrifice on behalf of our a war that nobody asked. Even our representatives, rather than represent, are representing themselves and then to the interests of parties who are far from being of the people. The war is a war on our youth, caught between the bullets and blood and not be sold.
